Background.  With the exception of December all the monthly events are timed smartly to coordinate with the Liquid List (London) as it brings significant additional value to the Service Leavers at the end of our time together.  As both Leavers’ Link and Forces Business Net are Armed Forces Covenant signatories, the Company is naturally and actively encouraging all Service Leavers to invest in their network by attending The Liquid List  although such attendance is entirely optional.

The Company’s flyer suggest that it is looking for prospective Project Management candidates with an HND or Degree qualified ‘engineers’ to attend; in truth however it is just as keen see a Sapper or REME Lance Corporal (embracing RN and RAF equivalents) with 4 years service.  As far as the Company is concerned, what matters is that participants get the experience and a dose of realism and vision about what their ‘chosen’ second career sector might be rather than focusing on the more obvious options.

Other Attendees.  Chapman Ventilation extends this Insight Day invitation to organisations that are dedicated to helping Service Leavers find employment.  Such attendees will learn something about what a £30m HVAC specialist design and construction business looks like.  Further, if such organisations would like the Company to attend an event they are hosting, whether as speakers, mentors or to make up the ensemble of construction sector or SME professionals then please contact me:  Iain Finch

Editor’s Note.  If you live or work in East Anglia and wish to develop your network, please note that Iain also runs Leavers’ Link
